A BIG Catch up!

Its been a while since I have updated the blog so here is a big catch up on the things that I have been doing over the last few months!

Most recently I have designed an invitation suite for my Nannas 70th. The design included RSVP, envelope liners, invitations and photos. I painted the flowers by hand and then scanned them in to be used across both the liners and invitations. I also hand lettered the addresses on the front of the envelopes

In the process of making them. The above invite was a test print.

My Thai

Ingredients:

Sugar syrup: 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 2 lemon grass

Drink: 50ml sugar syrup, 50ml vodka, juice of half a lime, 4 basil leaves, 2 cm ginger and ice

1. Boil the water with the lemongrass in to dissolve the sugar, once this has dissolved strain into a jar and keep in the fridge.

2. Shake up the sugar syrup, vodka, lime, basil and ginger in a cocktail shaker with ice and pour into a glass over ice. And the enjoy!

For Christmas I got a molecular gastronomy kit (which I have always wanted!), this was my first experiment making Balsamic vinegar pearls, which tasted rather nice! Now to try the Mojito spheres I posted about previously!

For Christmas my husband and I decided to make our own advent calendars for each other, this was mine! I think we shall definitely be doing this again it was really fun and we got a random gift everyday!

In November we went to London to Hyper Japan in the Olympia, a fair of all things Japanese! It was really fun to see everything and we did get to try lots of good food and sake (the sparkling one is especially good!)
