The Cabinet of Curiosities

It’s been a long time since I have updated the blog so I thought I would start with The Cabinet of Curiosities in Haworth, West Yorkshire. We visited the shop back in august and all I can say is what a dreamy shop!

It has been restored to look like a victorian apothecary with cabinets and units that have been salvaged from grocery shops, chemists and museums. The apothecary drawers and bell jars offset all the handmade cosmetics perfectly. From the gold stars on the ceiling to the antiques and chandeliers the shop is my dream place. The whole concept is amazing and is a job I would love to do or have created the concept! I love anything that is a bit mystical/magical/macabre and victorian. Definitely worth a visit - I didn’t see it at Halloween but the decor looked something else when I saw the images on Instagram.

(I got extremely carried away and ended up spending a small fortune. I mean seriously I bought bath salts - I don’t even have a bath!)

Some of my purchases (even the tissue wrapping paper is beautiful)
